Big Query & Lookerstudio
In my Data Analyst role, I worked closely with Business Intelligence teams to write queries and create dashboards.
The Data Engineering department creates the tables out of pulled data from various HR tools such as ATS, HRIS, LMS, Slack, and Zoom among others.
From these tables, I wrote SQL code and created dashboards in Lookerstudio for Talent Acquisition pipelines, Offers statistics, Turnover, Headcount, Referral Program, Performance, and HR KPI dashboards, and more.
The dashboards are used by upper management and cross-functional teams.
Data wrangling - Google Sheets Query & Python
I have a double role as a Tech Recruitment Team Lead and Data Analyst.
I use Google Sheets extensively in my data role. I initiated, designed, and created recruitment dashboards and reports for pipelines, funnels, and statistics.
I incorporate Apps Script for more interactive sheets and use Python for routine data clean-up.
These reports have been used by my colleagues and People Department in monitoring and completing their KPIs and OKRs.
ATS & HRIS Management
My Computer Science background has helped me in managing databases, particularly ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and HRIS.
Databases are the backbones of ATS and HRIS (systems). I've set up, managed, and migrated databases in all of the recruitment jobs I've had.
I create custom modules, set up automations, create webforms, code custom fumctions in these systems, manage career sites, etc. I am the main resource person for these systems as the administrator.
Technical Recruitment
My degree in Computer Science (Again? I know.) has been useful in my career as a technical recruiter.
Being a good coder (at least to me and that was years ago), definitely gave me the advantage to do well in technical sourcing.
Knowing the development lifecycle, software architecture, and the function of each and the relationships between developer roles has made my profession easier for me.
I also do some coding and scripting once in a while - on tasks and projects that are still related to my work as a recruiter like automating repeated tasks.
